"Here the sculptor committed to the highest step of imitation, making the deputy of the first creator". Erri De Luca

By Flaminio Gualdoni.

The clay can be touched, explored with hands, caressed and is the ideal material for an tactile exhibit. There is therefore a special relevance in the exhibit of Paul Annibali " About the clay, the hand, the Earth, the sacred ", opened on November 8 at vanvitellian rooms of the State Tactile Museum Omero with a big number of visitors.

21 big terra-cotta sculptures, more than 21 beautiful paintings produced over the past three years, according to a joint project designed for the Museum. It is all to see and touch, also for blind people since some paintings will be realized in 3D. It is also realized a catalogue from De Luca Editori with pictures of all artworks and participations of the curator Flaminio Gualdoni, of Erri de Luca and of the president of the Museum Homer Aldo Grassini.

Annibali shows in the exhibit his artistic path and allows to discover the most intimate of his workshop, that’s before coming in a sort of hypothetical temple, where, however, the characters are not gods and heroes, but female figures, busy in acts of normal everyday life, such as making-up or looking in the mirror.

The exhibit is sponsored by the State Tactile Museum Omero (which already has in its collection of four artworks of Annibali), with the support of the Region Marche, in collaboration with the Association for the State Tactile Museum Omero NPO. Technical Sponsor: Adriatica Legnami srl, Cotto Santa Maria della Petrella Ltd., Mobilificio Binni snc.
